It is very easy to use & takes 2 CR2032 batteries which is included. This gauge has a black LCD display with a back light, it automatically powers off when not in use. It has color bar lights indicating your tire tread! The bar that measures your tire tread I feel like could be more durable but as long as your careful while using it, it should be fine & should last! Over all a really nifty tool!
